Bug ID: 166
Summary: patch may fail to apply when it targets different
sub-tree other than main tree
Product: lab
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: dashboard
Assignee: ci@dpdk.org
Reporter: ferruh.yigit@intel.com
CC: jplsek@iol.unh.edu
Target Milestone: ---
DPDK development done hierarchically to split the work. There are multiple
sub-trees and some patch may target some specific tree, which is not clear from
metadata of the patch.
During the next phases of the release, sub-trees may diverge more and any patch
target to a sub-tree may not cleanly apply to the main repo, this blocks that
patch to be tested in the community lab.
Need to find a way to be able to test those patches.
