Subject: [dpdk-dev] [PATCH v5 10/18] ethdev: add callback support for telemetry
Date: Thu, 30 Apr 2020 17:01:29 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20200430160137.59135-11-ciara.power@intel.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20200430160137.59135-1-ciara.power@intel.com>

From: Bruce Richardson <bruce.richardson@intel.com>

The ethdev library now registers commands with telemetry, and
implements the callback functions. These commands allow the list of
ethdev ports and the xstats and link status for a port to be queried.

An example using ethdev commands is shown below:

Connecting to /var/run/dpdk/rte/dpdk_telemetry.v2

{"/ethdev/xstats": {"rx_good_packets": 0, "tx_good_packets": 0, \

v4: Modified to use binary data formatting instead of JSON.
v2:
  - Renamed stats to xstats for device specific stats.
  - Added link status command for ethdev ports.
