Release Dates
-------------

* v19.11 dates:
  * RC2 is released on Tuesday 12 November
    * https://mails.dpdk.org/archives/announce/2019-November/000288.html
  * RC3	pushed to *Wednesday 20 November*
    * Sub-trees should be ready on *Tuesday 19 November*
  * Release pushed to *Wednesday 27 November*

* Proposed dates for 20.02 :
  * Proposal/V1:		Friday 6 December 2019
  * Integration/Merge/RC1:	Wednesday 15 January 2020
  * Release:			Friday 14 February 2020
  * Should we move v1 a few days because of 19.11 release date changes?


RC2 Status
----------

* Intel validation not reported any critical issue, some defects submitted


Subtrees
--------

* main
  * ABI/API tooling, Thomas will deal with scripts
  * KNI iova=va patchset waiting for techboard approval

* next-net
  * No more ethdev features will be merged, only PMD & testpmd patches
  * Pulled from some sub-trees, there will be more
  * Backlog seems under control for the rc3

* next-net-crypto
  * Most of the patches have been merged to rc2, 4-5 patches in rc3
  * CPU crypto patches are deferred to next release, dummy APIs can be provided
    on this release since ABI breakage is not allowed in next release.
  * arm v8 crypto code planned to be in external library, its maintenance
    needs to be clarified

* next-net-eventdev
  * no update

* next-net-virtio
  * There is a regression that is under investigation
  * dynamic logging patch can be deferred to next version

* next-net-intel
  * ipn3ke PMD new version will be merged
  * Will get some more fixes

* LTS
  * Regression on CVE-2019-14818 fixes.
    * Affects when VHOST_USER_VRING_NOFD_MASK is set use cases,
      looks common enough to make new versions of the stable releases
    * More testing will be done before proceeding


OvS
---

* pdump support is broken and causing crash, heading to deprecate it in ovs-dpdk
* There are some build issues with 19.11-rc2, working on it


Opens
-----

* A regression found on the CVE-2019-14818, working on it:
  https://mails.dpdk.org/archives/announce/2019-November/000295.html


DPDK Release Status Meetings
============================

The DPDK Release Status Meeting is intended for DPDK Committers to discuss
the status of the master tree and sub-trees, and for project managers to
track progress or milestone dates.

The meeting occurs on Thursdays at 8:30 UTC. If you wish to attend just
send an email to "John McNamara <john.mcnamara@intel.com>" for the invite.
