Bug ID: 1468
Summary: rte_mbuf timesync field should be dynfield
Product: DPDK
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: Normal
Component: core
Assignee: dev@dpdk.org
Reporter: mb@smartsharesystems.com
Target Milestone: ---
The rte_mbuf has a 16 bit timesync field, which is only used by a couple of
Intel PMDs (i40e, ice, igc), and only if using IEEE 1588.
This field should not be a fixed part of the rte_mbuf structure; it should be a
dynamic field.
