https://bugs.dpdk.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1562 Bug ID: 1562 Summary: dumpcap captures all available network interfaces when specifying any PCI network interface Product: DPDK Version: 21.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: Normal Component: other Assignee: dev@dpdk.org Reporter: zhengliang1701@163.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 291 --> https://bugs.dpdk.org/attachment.cgi?id=291&action=edit Specifying a non-existent PCI network interface results in packet capture on all valid network interfaces on the host. When specifying a non-existent network interface or any PCI network interface, all valid PCI network interfaces are captured. The reason is in the static void select_interface(const char arg) function, which was intended to match all network interfaces when specified with the '' character. However, the if (strcmp(arg, "")) selects all interfaces. After modification to if (strcmp(arg, "")==0), it works correctly to specify a single network interface. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
