Bug ID: 80
Summary: There is not any mention of AF_PACKET PMD in the doc
Product: DPDK
Version: 18.08
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: Normal
Component: doc
Assignee: dev@dpdk.org
Reporter: tom.barbette@uliege.be
Target Milestone: ---
AF_PACKET PMD is completely absent from the documentation, while it is probably
a better/faster alternative than PCAP for receiving packets from the networking
stack (not taking KNI into account).
On top of the feature list, it would be very interesting to also discuss in the
doc considerations about packet fanout, etc.
