testing conditions:

* confirmed issue without patch and build flag: -Ddisable_drivers=net/* 
fails to build
* with patch applied test app still builds without flags
* with patch applied test app builds with 
-Ddisable_drivers=baseband/*,compress/*,crypto/*,event/*,net/*,raw/*,vdpa/*
