Subject: [dts][PATCH V1 2/5] test_plans/vm2vm_virtio_pmd_test_plan: delte cbdma testcases
Date: Thu, 21 Apr 2022 15:57:18 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20220421075718.1555639-1-weix.ling@intel.com> (raw)
As commit 53d3f4778c(vhost: integrate dmadev in asynchronous data-path),
delete cbdma related case 9-11 form test_plans/vm2vm_virtio_pmd_test_plan
and modify vm2vm_virtio_pmd_test_plan with new format.

vm2vm vhost-user/virtio-pmd test plan
=====================================
-This test plan includes vm2vm mergeable, normal and vector_rx path test with virtio 0.95 and virtio 1.0,
-also add mergeable and normal path test with virtio 1.1. Specially, three mergeable path cases check the
-payload of each packets are valid by using pdump.
-Note: Blow cases 9-11 which have cbdma usage should add dpdk local path to support async vhostpmd.
+Description
+===========
-Test flow
+This test plan includes vm2vm mergeable, normal and vector_rx path test with virtio 0.95 and virtio 1.0.
+Since qemu 4.2.0, Packed virtqueue mergeable path and Packed virtqueue non-mergeable path can be supported.
+then also add mergeable and non-mergeable path test with virtio 1.1.
+
+For more about dpdk-testpmd sample, please refer to the DPDK docments:
+https://doc.dpdk.org/guides/testpmd_app_ug/run_app.html
+
+For virtio-user vdev parameter, you can refer to the DPDK docments:

-
- modprobe vfio
- modprobe vfio-pci
