Sorry for late response.
I remember that VF daemon has fixed environment setup based on our requirement. Anyway I think it will be fine to merge your patch in if  work with vfio-pci. Also add original test plan owner since may need update the test plan.
Fix in second patch look like has been covered by another merged patch.
