Subject: [dpdk-users] Packet Drop seen when Oracle Linux upgrade to OL7.8 - DPDK 19.11
Date: Tue, 27 Apr 2021 15:17:12 +0530	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <CANxYRjzMD+HGNm44Nwy_rw4E6PWnfTbwaRkM=vtLTG+fHjQu7A@mail.gmail.com> (raw)

Hi,
It was observed that in DPDK packet drops were observed when OS was
upgraded to Oracle Linux 7.8 i.e:
 From *4.14.35-1818.3.3.el7uek.x86_64* ==>
*4.14.35-1902.300.11.el7uek.x86_64*.

After reverting back to the older kernel (4.14.35-1818.3.3.el7uek.x86_64)
there were no packet drops.
DPK version being used is - DPDK v19.11.

Any lead to understand the root cause would be appreciated.
What factors could affect the kernel upgrade?

Regards
Vikram
