Minutes

========================================
CI Status

------------------------------
General

* BUG-479 - GCC versions - Testing with GCC version 11 or custom
compiles of GCC.
   * Setup Fedora rawhide test platform - UNH-IOL can look into
setting this up inside a container build, assuming an upstream is
available (i.e. docker hub image).

------------------------------
Intel Lab

* All systems are updated / reporting for meson build.

------------------------------
Travis CI & Open Build Service

* OBS had a couple of builds kicked off last week, but are based on
make, not meson. Once that’s fixed, Aaron will hook up the reporting
for this to patchworks.
* Travis CI is remaining stable.

------------------------------
UNH-IOL Community Lab

* Arm hardware has arrived and will be installed in the next week
(tracked in BUG-408).
* Mellanox systems updated to a new DTS version, supporting meson
build, was BUG-504.
* Broadcom & Intel systems were also updated for meson build support
as well (DTS change)
* NXP system is being upgraded, but is being debugged for an error
with the new build. (tracked in BUG-542)
* Started to work on SPDK scripts for testing (tracked in BUG-543)
* BUG-489 - Broadcom 100G - Broadcom is still debugging an issue with TRex
* BUG-490 - Captured TRex and DTS versions in results - not yet started
* BUG-170 - Separate emails, not yet started.

========================================
Test Development

------------------------------
Completed Features

1. MTU Update
2. Basic stats
3. Speed Capabilities
4. Checksum offload checks
5. Multicast Mac Filtering
6. RSS Key Update
7. L3 and L4 Checksum Offload
8. Multicast mac address filter
9. Linux Kernel Module VFIO Testing
10. Linux Kernel Module UIO Testing
11. FW Version
12. Rx Interrupt

------------------------------
Features in progress

1. Module EEPROM Dump
   * Testpmd patch is under review and all feedback issues are
resolved. Test scripts have been created and just need to be
submitted to DTS, pending UNH-IOL review, and will be submitted by the
end of this week.
2. rte_flow
   * Finalized approach to the testing for the match pattern
generation and are working to build up the test case. Detailed
discussion on the testing approach:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_jEciQFZ-Lj1ASF_mQbCnB3U5FefdW2Z84HP1y-GJek/edit
   * Aiming to complete this development by October 2, but if it slips
into the following week, it shouldn’t present a problem.
3. Speed Capabilities
   * Pending updates to testpmd (BUG-496), just keeping here to track
status, etc.
4. Inner RSS
   * Currently stalled by BUG-530. There doesn’t appear to be a way to
access information about this through testpmd, the BUG-530 proposes
the feature to testpmd.

The above will represent the conclusion of the contracted development
work for the expansion of DTS coverage.

------------------------------
Future Work

* DTS Feedback - Some initial (rough draft) user and developer
feedback has been captured here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c5S0_mZzFvzZfYkqyORLT2-qNvUb-fBdjA6DGusy4yM/edit
   * Would like to get feedback from at least 2 to 3 sources,
including UNH-IOL’s initial input. Bruce will remind the tech board
of the request during tomorrow’s meeting.
* vertIO Feature - potential next development
* CtyptIOFature - potential next development

========================================
Any other business
