Subject: [dpdk-dev] [PATCH v1 1/7] net: define Mellanox ether type for embed metadata
Date: Thu, 23 Nov 2017 17:13:03 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1bed7206d20792b01da655714955b00ba99cb4f6.1511453340.git.nelio.laranjeiro@6wind.com> (raw)

In-Reply-To: <cover.1511453340.git.nelio.laranjeiro@6wind.com>

Mellanox detains an Ethernet to embed additional metadata in Ethernet
frames [1]. This Ether type is necessary for some NIC to transform packets
using an offloading.
