I don't know if there is one globally accepted policy for patches states in= pw. In DPDK, we ask, in the contributors guide, that submitters update their series with the "superseded" state. The other states are manipulated by maintainers to sync (mainly the "awaiting upstream") or to hide older patches (like the "archived" state for resolved, as in accepted or rejected, patches sent in previous releases). I know some maintainers do set the "Under review" state, but this is not done by everyone. --=20 David Marchand
