Could you tell us what these commands return?
./tools/cpu_layout.py
cat /sys/devices/system/node/node0/hugepages/hugepages-2048kB/nr_hugepages
cat /sys/devices/system/node/node1/hugepages/hugepages-2048kB/nr_hugepages
(assuming you have 2 NUMA nodes)
