I have just set up DPDK on my host. After running helloworld sample app successfully, I am trying to run the kni sample app using the command line:
kni/kni -c 0xf -n 4 -- -P -p 0x1 --config="{1,2,3}"
But, I get: EAL:
EAL: Error - exiting with code: 1
Cause: portmask is not consistent to port ids specified in –config
I have just one port (eth0 before it was bound to dpdk) set up for DPDK on an 8-core Xeon D. I have been going through the DPDK sample apps guide to figure out how to get the port id and config matching. But, so far I am not able to. Really appreciate your help on this.
