Hi all,
I am working with QLogic NICs and have recently updated to dpdk v17.08. I am experiencing an issue when the driver attempts to load the firmware(Error code shown underneath). This failure occurs because the driver requires qed_init_values-8.20.0.0.bin which is not available on my system.
[qed_load_firmware_data:134(00:07.0:dpdk-port-0)]Can't open firmware file
[qed_slowpath_start:235(00:07.0:dpdk-port-0)]Failed to find fw file /lib/firmware/qed/qed_init_values-8.20.0.0.bin
I see the change to require qed_init_values-8.20.0.0.bin went into dpdk v17.08 as part of this patch http://dpdk.org/browse/dpdk/commit/drivers/net/qede?id=2e2f392b249a81303c99584082a067a86591c3da . The dpdk documentation at http://dpdk.org/doc/guides/nics/qede.html states the minimum requirement is qed_init_values-8.18.9.0.bin and points you towards the QLogic Driver Download Center to download this file. However the code from the patch above suggests that the minimum version is actually qed_init_values-8.20.0.0.bin which is unavailable from the QLogic Driver Download Center. I understand that I could downgrade to dpdk v17.05 but would prefer to use dpdk v17.08. Is there a prototype version of this firmware available for use? Or a known workaround?
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Matt
