Subject: [dpdk-users] wrong TCP checksum on a vdev device
Date: Mon, 26 Jun 2017 08:37:14 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <B84047ECBD981D4B93EAE5A6245AA361013C8DC6@FRAEML521-MBX.china.huawei.com> (raw)
Hi,
Setup :
Namespace (no DPDK) <--> veth1 --- veth0 type dpdk-af-packet <--> ovs-dpdk.
TCP packets generated at the namespace have wrong TCP checksum (probably not calculated ). ICMP/UDP is OK.
If I disable the tx-hw-offload - TCP is running but performance is degraded (probably huge degradation)
In native OVS (i.e. no DPDK) - there is no problem.
Is this a bug ?
Best Regards
avi
