Subject: [dpdk-users] i40e XL710 VF low latency reception and interrupt throttling
Date: Wed, 22 Nov 2017 12:34:52 +0100 [thread overview]

Hi,
I am trying to receive packets as fast as possible with DPDK PMD.
Sometimes packets arrive within a few microseconds , which is fine,
sometimes packets arrive only after approx. 8 milliseconds. This seems to
be due to interrupt throttling configured in the VF driver. Does anyone
know a way to configure the interrupt throttling or how to turn it off.
My setup: Intel XL710 NIC, i40e pmd driver, DPDK uses VF, PF is mapped to
Linux kernel. DPDK 17.11
Thanks
Heiko
