They are .eps files.
I am going to use a transparent PNG from wikimedia:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/06/Broadcom_Ltd_Logo.svg/1280px-Broadcom_Ltd_Logo.svg.png
All logos on dpdk.org are transparent in order to be able to apply a background.
