Hi, I would like to request the dpdk.org hosted web page(s) updated to include the new project PMDT (Performance Monitor Development Toolkit). http://git.dpdk.org/apps/pmdt/ Please let me know what I need to do, as I have no HTML/Webpage experience. Thanks Keith

Hi Trishan, The repo link is below and I do not have a specific email address other then dev@dpdk.org<mailto:dev@dpdk.org> with [PMDT] as the subject tag. If I need something else please let me know. The download link is the same as the repo link. The docs currently are in the repo, but I may add one later if that is ok. Sounds good. Let us know once the Techboard has approved the project and we
will post it.

A good example is DTS. Following this example, PMDT would have these links: Git Repo: http://git.dpdk.org/apps/pmdt/ Download: http://git.dpdk.org/apps/pmdt/refs/ Docs: http://git.dpdk.org/apps/pmdt/tree/README-pmdt.txt Keith, I think it would be desirable to generate some HTML docs with Sphinx if possible. So it will be hosted at http://doc.dpdk.org/pmdt/ About the root README, please mention how it is related to DPDK. Thanks 10/02/2020 18:22, Trishan de Lanerolle: > Sounds good. Hi Thomas, Updated the repo README-pmdt.txt file to explain in more details how it relates to DPDK. Please let me know if that is not enough information. That's good, thank you. > Please let me know if that is not enough information. The Sphinx support will take a bit long to add. OK let me know when it's done, so I will activate an automatic doc update on tag push event. > From: Thomas Monjalon <thomas@monjalon.net> > Date: Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10:36 AM > To: Wiles, Keith <keith.wiles@intel.com> > Cc: web@dpdk.org <web@dpdk.org>, O'Hare, Cathal <cathal.ohare@intel.com>, Mcnamara, John <john.mcnamara@intel.com>, Yigit, Ferruh <ferruh.yigit@intel.com>, Jill Lovato <jlovato@linuxfoundation.org>, Trishan de Lanerolle <tdelanerolle@linuxfoundation.org> > Subject: Re: [dpdk-web] Adding a new hosted project link for PMDT > A good example is DTS. > Following this example, PMDT would have these links: > > Git Repo: http://git.dpdk.org/apps/pmdt/ > Download: http://git.dpdk.org/apps/pmdt/refs/ > Docs: http://git.dpdk.org/apps/pmdt/tree/README-pmdt.txt > > Keith, I think it would be desirable to generate some HTML docs > with Sphinx if possible. I was waiting for the minutes to be approved.
Given there are no more feedbacks from the techboard,
I will publish it now.
The decision from the techboard is to approve PMDT hosting
after these guidelines are addressed:
- compile and run on most DPDK supported environments
- no out-of-tree DPDK patches
- no copy of code from another project
- list dependencies
- have a license file or directory
- describe contribution process for patches and issues reporting
Note: these guidelines will serve for any other future project requests.
