====================================================
CI Status
====================================================

----------------------------------------------------
General
----------------------------------------------------

* BUG-210 (Patches with dependency fails to apply): Syntax is now official
in the documentation, should be possible to update the script to look for /
parse this information.
   * Owen from the UNH team is working on this ticket.
* BUG-511 (Add check if performance tests are needed): This can also be
implemented to avoid running unnecessary testing.
   * See patch: https://mails.dpdk.org/archives/ci/2020-December/000902.html
   * We are currently working on getting this put into usage in the UNH-IOL
Community Lab.
* OS Supported for testing, per DPDK Tech Board
   * Latest FreeBSD
   * Windows ??
   * Ubuntu latest two LTS releases
   * RHEL 8 over Fedora

----------------------------------------------------
UNH-IOL Community Lab
----------------------------------------------------

* https://lab.dpdk.org/results/dashboard/
* ABI Testing has been put into production, results are currently included
in the compile testing. ABI tests are run on Ubuntu 18.04 on x86_64
architectures. (BUG-598)
   * Currently reporting under iol-testing, will be moved soon to
iol-abi-testing label
* Next highest priority items are Coverity Testing (BUG-589) and Report
Format for Failing Tests (BUG-569)
* Arm system setup is still on-going. The TRex system (not an arm arch.
system) has been rolled back to Ubuntu 18.04. TRex has issues binding to
drivers on the 20.04 kernel, and the forked version of the binding script
is different from the DPDK mainline.
   * Need to also enable any compile / functional testing, because there
isn’t arm coverage in other systems (Travis CI, GitHub Actions).
* NXP System still needs attention from the NXP team. They had a modified
version of DTS (from their own source) that may need to be updated with the
changes in the 20.11 release. Bug remarked as normal priority.
* Broadcom 100G setup is still pending support from Broadcom in getting
TRex to use this NIC correctly in the DTS “tester” system. We could look
into getting a different 100G NIC for the “tester” system. Bug remarked as
normal priority.
* Requisition to add job specific documentation, being tracked as BUG-604.
Reports (zip) files provided for each run test also include full logs, also
include the console output as well.

----------------------------------------------------
Travis CI / Github Actions / OBS
----------------------------------------------------

* Travis CI has been robot runs per patch have been disabled, because of
their change in what is available to run for open source projects.
* Github Actions has been connected to patchworks and should replace “most”
of what Travis CI was provided (arm architecture testing is a known missing
piece).
   * The robot is not yet running this automatically per patch.
* OBS is currently not running, pending the work on deleting past builds /
branches.

----------------------------------------------------
Intel Lab
----------------------------------------------------

* Still working on the Smoke tests, CI pipelines are running internally,
and they should start being published to patchwork (ETA is around the start
of the new year).

Test Development
====================================================

* Tech Board has started to discuss what the 2021 priorities will be.
Trishan is leading this.

====================================================
Any other business

* December 31, 2020 meeting will be canceled. Next meeting: January 14,
2020.
